드디어 부산 여행의 마지막 날, 12월 16일입니다. 오늘은 저와 아내에게 가장 특별한 날, 바로 결혼기념일 당일이기도 합니다.
2박 3일간 편안한 쉼터가 되어주었던 센텀프리미어호텔을 체크아웃하고, 여행의 마지막 일정을 시작했습니다. 오늘은 부산의 기운을 듬뿍 받아 갈 수 있는 영험한 사찰 '해동용궁사'를 둘러보고, 해운대 '금수복국'에서 점심을 먹은 뒤 서울로 올라가는 일정입니다.

1. 바다를 품은 사찰, 해동용궁사로
십이지신상과 교통안전기원탑
주차장에 차를 대고 사찰 입구로 향하니, 사람 키보다 큰 십이지신상들이 줄지어 서 있습니다. 자신의 띠 앞에서 사진을 찍는 건 필수 코스죠. 근엄한 표정의 쥐띠 석상이 우리 부부를 맞이해줍니다. "올 한 해도 무탈하게, 그리고 앞으로도 건강하게 해주세요." 가볍게 눈인사를 건넸습니다.
일주문을 지나면 높게 솟은 석탑, '교통안전기원탑'이 나옵니다. 서울까지 장거리를 운전해서 올라가야 하는 저에게는 그 어떤 불상보다 절실하게 다가오는 탑입니다. 잠시 합장하며 안전 운전을 기원했습니다.
2. 절벽 위의 비경, 그리고 몽돌의 노래
보통 절은 산속 깊은 곳에 있는데, 해동용궁사는 이름처럼 바다 바로 앞, 기암괴석 절벽 위에 세워져 있습니다. 계단을 내려가며 마주한 풍경은 그야말로 장관입니다. 하얗게 부서지는 파도와 그 위에 굳건히 자리 잡은 대웅전이 한 폭의 그림 같습니다.
바닷바람을 맞으며 경내를 거니는 것만으로도 가슴이 뻥 뚫리는 기분입니다. 특히 이곳에서만 들을 수 있는 특별한 소리가 있어 영상으로 담아왔습니다.

거친 파도가 쳤다가 빠져나갈 때, 바닥에 깔린 몽돌(자갈)들이 서로 부딪치며 내는 소리입니다. 마치 자연이 연주하는 악기 소리 같지 않나요? 아내와 나란히 서서 한참 동안 이 소리를 들으며 '물멍(물을 보며 멍때리기)'을 즐겼습니다. 마음속 잡념이 파도와 함께 씻겨 내려가는 힐링의 순간이었습니다.
3. [숨은 코스] 바람이 머무는 곳, 대나무 숲길
관람을 마치고 돌아오는 길, 저희는 왔던 길(108계단)로 다시 올라가지 않고 다른 길을 택했습니다.

해동용궁사를 구경하고 나오는 길, 교통안전기원탑을 지나면 정면으로 산으로 올라가는 작은 오솔길이 있습니다. 이 길로 가면 대나무 숲을 지나 대형 버스 주차장 쪽으로 빠져나갈 수 있습니다.
사람들로 북적이는 메인 통로와 달리, 이곳은 한적하고 고요합니다. 돌계단을 따라 조금만 올라가면 울창한 대나무 숲이 펼쳐집니다.
고개를 들어 하늘을 보니, 빽빽한 대나무 잎 사이로 파란 하늘이 조각조각 빛나고 있습니다. 바람이 불 때마다 "사아아- 사각사각" 하고 대나무 잎이 부대끼는 소리가 들려옵니다.

이 호젓한 숲길에서 아내와 셀카를 남겼습니다. 선글라스를 끼고 미소 짓는 우리 부부. 이번 여행의 마지막 사진을 이렇게 싱그러운 초록빛 속에서 남길 수 있어 참 좋았습니다. 대형 주차장으로 이어지는 이 길은 용궁사 관람의 완벽한 마무리가 되어주었습니다.
4. 사진 없는 맛집, '금수복국' (ft. 블로거의 직무유기)
용궁사 산책으로 적당히 배가 고파질 무렵, 점심을 먹으러 해운대 '금수복국' 본점으로 향했습니다. 부산에 오면 꼭 먹어야 한다는 복지리의 성지죠.
그런데... 음식 사진이 없습니다. (하하)
변명을 조금 하자면, 어제 저녁 오마카세 '유화'에서 혼신의 힘을 다해 사진을 찍느라 에너지를 다 썼나 봅니다. 맛집에 와서도 카메라를 들기보다, 숟가락을 먼저 들고 싶은 '본능'이 앞섰습니다.
"여보, 사진 안 찍어?" 라는 아내의 말에 "오늘은 그냥 먹자!" 하고 뚝배기에 코를 박았습니다. 비록 사진은 없지만 맛은 생생합니다.
저희는 '은복지리'를 먹었는데, 콩나물과 미나리가 듬뿍 들어간 맑은 국물은 그야말로 '시원함의 끝판왕'이었습니다. 전날 소주 한병 마셨는데도 해장이 되는 기분이랄까요? 쫄깃한 복어 살을 초장에 찍어 먹고, 뜨끈한 국물을 들이키니 서울까지 운전할 힘이 불끈 솟아났습니다. 사진 대신 제 진심 어린 글로 그 맛을 보증합니다. 부산 가시면 꼭 드셔보세요!
금수복국에서의 든든한 점심을 끝으로, 2박 3일간의 부산 여행을 마치고 서울로 향했습니다. 차창 밖으로 멀어지는 부산의 풍경을 보며 아내에게 고마움을 전했습니다.
"결혼기념일 축하해요. 그리고 3일 동안 내 모델 해주느라 고생 많았어."
55세, 인생의 가을쯤 와있는 나이.
화려한 불꽃보다는 은은한 윤슬이 더 좋아지는 나이.

Finally, it is the last day of the Busan trip, December 16th. Today is also the most special day for my wife and me, our wedding anniversary.
We checked out of Centum Premier Hotel, which had been a comfortable shelter for 3 days, and started the last itinerary of the trip. Today's plan is to visit 'Haedong Yonggungsa Temple', a spiritual temple where you can get the energy of Busan, have lunch at 'Geumsu Bokguk' in Haeundae, and then go up to Seoul.
Especially in today's post, I included the healing sound (video) of waves rolling pebbles and the hidden bamboo forest trail (shortcut) of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple that many people don't know, so please stay tuned until the end.

1. Haedong Yonggungsa: A Temple Embracing the Sea
12 Zodiac Statues & Traffic Safety Tower
As we parked the car and headed to the temple entrance, the 12 Zodiac Statues, taller than a person, stood in a row. It is a must-do course to take a picture in front of your zodiac sign. The solemn Rat statue welcomed us. "Please keep us safe this year and healthy in the future." I exchanged a light greeting.
Passing through the Iljumun Gate, a tall stone pagoda, the 'Traffic Safety Prayer Tower', appears. For me, who has to drive a long distance to Seoul, this tower comes more desperately than any other Buddha statue. I put my hands together for a moment and prayed for safe driving.
2. Scenery on the Cliff, and the Song of Pebbles
Usually, temples are deep in the mountains, but Haedong Yonggungsa is built on a cliff with strange rocks right in front of the sea, just like its name. The scenery facing down the stairs is truly spectacular. The white breaking waves and the main hall firmly established above them are like a painting.
Just walking around the precincts facing the sea breeze makes my chest feel open. In particular, there is a special sound that can only be heard here, so I captured it in a video.

Listen carefully. "Chwa-aa-aa... Roll, roll..."
It is the sound of pebbles (gravel) on the floor bumping into each other when rough waves hit and go out. Doesn't it sound like a musical instrument played by nature? I stood side by side with my wife and enjoyed 'Water Gazing (Mul-Meong)' listening to this sound for a while. It was a healing moment when worldly thoughts were washed away with the waves.
3. [Hidden Course] Where the Wind Stays, Bamboo Forest Path
On the way back from the tour, we chose a different path instead of going back up the way we came (108 stairs).
★ Idea's Tip! (How to find the Bamboo Forest)
On the way out of Haedong Yonggungsa, passing the Traffic Safety Tower, there is a small trail going up the mountain in front. If you take this path, you can pass through the bamboo forest and exit toward the large bus parking lot.
Unlike the main passage crowded with people, this place is quiet and secluded. If you go up the stone stairs a little, a dense bamboo forest unfolds.
Looking up at the sky, the blue sky is shining in pieces between the dense bamboo leaves. Every time the wind blows, I hear the sound of bamboo leaves rustling, "Saaaa- Sak-sak".

Can you feel the freshness in the video? If the sound of ocean waves was 'dynamic' healing, the sound of the wind in the bamboo forest was 'static' healing.
We took a selfie with my wife on this quiet forest path. Us wearing sunglasses and smiling. It was great to leave the last picture of this trip in this fresh greenery. This path leading to the large parking lot was the perfect ending to the Yonggungsa tour.
4. Tasty Place without Photos, 'Geumsu Bokguk'
When we got hungry after the walk, we headed to the main branch of 'Geumsu Bokguk' in Haeundae for lunch. It is a holy place for pufferfish soup that you must eat when you come to Busan.
But... there are no food photos. (Haha)
To make an excuse, I must have used up all my energy taking pictures at the Omakase 'Yuhwa' last night. Even at a famous restaurant, the 'instinct' to lift a spoon came before lifting a camera.
"Honey, aren't you taking pictures?" to my wife's words, I said "Let's just eat today!" and buried my nose in the clay pot. Although there are no photos, the taste is vivid.
We ate 'Eunbok-jiri', and the clear broth with plenty of bean sprouts and water parsley was literally the 'King of Refreshment'. It felt like a hangover cure even though I drank a bottle of Soju the day before. Dipping the chewy puffer fish meat in vinegar paste and drinking the hot soup gave me the strength to drive to Seoul. I guarantee the taste with my sincere writing instead of photos. If you go to Busan, please try it!
With a hearty lunch at Geumsu Bokguk, we finished our 3-day trip to Busan and headed to Seoul. I expressed my gratitude to my wife while watching the scenery of Busan receding out the window.
"Happy anniversary. And thank you for being my model for 3 days."
55 years old, an age that has reached the autumn of life.
An age where I prefer the subtle sunlight on water ripples (Yunseul) rather than colorful fireworks.
I hope that the time of our couple, who have become round rubbing against each other like the pebbles in the sea of Haedong Yonggungsa, will flow peacefully like the sound of calm waves in the future.
