안녕하세요. 태국 카오야이 4박 6일 골프 팸투어, 4일차(10/31) 여정입니다. 어제 쏟아지는 비와 극적인 샷이글로 흥분이 채 가시지 않았는데요, 오늘은 '힐링'이 주제인 날입니다.
오전에는 3일간 쌓인 피로를 푸는 태국 마사지를 받고, 점심은 미슐랭 맛집에서, 오후에는 카오야이에서 가장 이국적인 골프장으로 꼽히는 '토스카나 밸리 CC'에서의 라운드가 예정되어 있습니다.
II. 4일차 여정: 마사지, 미식, 그리고 이탈리아
A. 꿀맛 같은 휴식: 태국 마사지 (at Varin Wellness Khao Yai)
오전 8시에 호텔에서 아침 식사(ABF)를 마친 뒤, 9시 30분경 '바린 웰니스 카오야이(Varin Wellness Khao Yai)'로 이동했습니다. 골프를 치러 온 것은 아니고, 바로 태국 마사지를 받기 위해서입니다.
3일 동안 무려 54홀(18+18+18)을 돌았으니 온몸의 근육이 뭉칠 대로 뭉쳤겠죠. 쾌적한 시설에서 시원하게 마사지를 받고 나니 뭉쳤던 어깨와 다리가 한결 가벼워지는 기분이었습니다.
B. 미슐랭 맛집 점심: 펜 라오 레스토랑 (Pen Lao Restaurant)
마사지로 몸을 풀고 나니 어느새 점심시간(12:00)이 되었습니다. 4일차 점심은 저희가 특별히 기대했던 곳인데요, 바로 '펜 라오 레스토랑'입니다.
이곳은 미슐랭 가이드에 등재된 카오야이의 유명한 맛집입니다.

주로 쏨땀, 구운 닭고기(까이양), 매콤한 샐러드(랍무) 등 태국 북동부 이산(Isaan) 지방의 전통 음식을 선보이는 곳입니다. 미슐랭이라는 명성에 걸맞게, 현지 향신료와 재료의 맛이 잘 어우러진 수준 높은 태국 요리를 맛볼 수 있었습니다.
사실 더 많은 음식을 먹었지만, 사진을 다 찾지 못해.. 이정도만...
C. 이탈리아에 오신 것을 환영합니다: 토스카나 밸리 CC (Toscana Golf Course)
든든하게 점심 식사를 마치고, 오후 1시 샷건 라운드를 위해 '토스카나 밸리 CC'로 향했습니다.
이곳은 이름 그대로 이탈리아 토스카나 지방을 완벽하게 재현해 놓은 곳입니다. 골프장이라기보다는 거대한 테마파크, 혹은 유럽의 휴양지에 온 듯한 착각을 불러일으켰습니다.
어제 방문한 카오야이 CC가 '밀림'이었다면, 이곳은 '유럽의 고성 앞 정원' 같은 느낌입니다. 코스 곳곳에 이탈리아풍 건축물들이 배치되어 있어 어디서 사진을 찍어도 그림엽서가 되는 곳이었죠.
코스 관리 상태도 훌륭했고, 아름다운 풍경에 취해 공을 치다 보니 18홀이 금방 지나갔습니다.
D. 카오야이에서의 마지막 밤: 네트워킹 디너
라운드를 마친 뒤, 저녁 6시 30분부터는 클럽하우스에서 '네트워킹 디너'가 열렸습니다. 이번 팸투어를 주최한 현지 골프장 관계자분들과 현지 관광협회장님, 그리고 저희 일행이 모두 모여 즐거운 저녁 식사를 함께했습니다.
멋진 골프장에서의 라운드 후, 좋은 분들과 함께하는 저녁 식사 자리는 카오야이에서의 마지막 밤을 더욱 특별하게 만들어 주었습니다.
III. 맺음말: 완벽했던 힐링의 하루
저녁 9시, 호텔로 복귀하며 4일차의 공식 일정을 마무리했습니다. 마사지로 피로를 풀고, 미슐랭 맛집에서 입이 즐겁고, 그림 같은 골프장에서 눈이 즐거웠던 완벽한 하루였습니다.

I. Introduction: A Day Themed 'Healing'
Hello. This is the story of Day 4 (10/31) of the 4-night, 6-day Khao Yai golf fam tour. The excitement from yesterday's pouring rain and dramatic shot eagle hadn't even subsided, but today's theme is 'Healing'.
In the morning, we're scheduled for a Thai massage to relieve the fatigue built up over three days, lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and an afternoon round at 'Toscana Valley CC', considered the most exotic golf course in Khao Yai.
II. Day 4 Itinerary: Massage, Gastronomy, and Italy
A. A Sweet Rest: Thai Massage (at Varin Wellness Khao Yai)
After finishing breakfast (ABF) at the hotel at 8:00 AM, we moved to 'Varin Wellness Khao Yai' around 9:30 AM. We didn't come to play golf, but specifically to get a Thai massage.
Having played a whopping 54 holes (18+18+18) over three days, our muscles were as tense as they could be. After a refreshing massage in a comfortable facility, my tight shoulders and legs felt noticeably lighter.
B. Michelin-Starred Lunch: Pen Lao Restaurant
After relaxing with a massage, it was already lunchtime (12:00). Our lunch for Day 4 was a place we were especially looking forward to: 'Pen Lao Restaurant'.
This is a famous restaurant in Khao Yai, listed in the Michelin Guide.

I've brought photos mainly of the food our group ate.)
It primarily serves traditional dishes from the Isaan (Northeastern) region of Thailand, such as Som Tum, grilled chicken (Gai Yang), and spicy salad (Larb Moo). Befitting its Michelin reputation, we were able to taste high-quality Thai cuisine where local spices and ingredients were well-harmonized.

C. Welcome to Italy: Toscana Valley CC (Toscana Golf Course)
After a satisfying lunch, we headed to 'Toscana Valley CC' for our 1:00 PM shotgun round.
As its name suggests, this place is a perfect re-creation of the Tuscany region in Italy. It felt less like a golf course and more like a giant theme park or a European resort.
If Khao Yai CC yesterday felt like a 'jungle', this place felt like a 'garden in front of a European castle'. With Italian-style buildings scattered throughout the course, every photo taken here looked like a postcard.
The course conditions were excellent, and lost in the beautiful scenery, the 18 holes flew by.
D. The Last Night in Khao Yai: Networking Dinner
After finishing the round, a 'Networking Dinner' was held at the clubhouse starting at 6:30 PM. The local golf course officials who hosted this fam tour, the head of the local tourism association, and our group all gathered for a pleasant dinner.
A dinner with wonderful people after a round at such a magnificent golf course made our last night in Khao Yai even more special.
III. Conclusion: A Perfect Day of Healing
We returned to the hotel at 9:00 PM, concluding the official schedule for Day 4. It was a perfect day where we relieved fatigue with a massage, delighted our palates at a Michelin restaurant, and feasted our eyes on a picturesque golf course.
