하지만 솔직히 말씀드리면, 저희가 방문했을 때는 비수기라 코스 관리가 전체적으로 아쉬웠습니다. 페어웨이는 넓었지만, 물이 잘 빠지지 않는 곳이 많았고, '떡잔디'라고 하죠? 잔디가 빽빽하고 딱딱해서 공을 정확히 띄우기가 쉽지 않았습니다. 벙커 역시 관리가 잘 되어있지 않아 아쉬움이 남았습니다.
저렴한 가격에 무제한으로 공을 치며 연습하기에는 괜찮을 수 있지만, 좋은 컨디션에서 라운드를 기대하신다면 방문 시기를 잘 고려해야 할 것 같습니다.

오전 라운드를 마치고, 점심 식사를 위해 보난자 CC 근처의 현지 식당 'Lhanya: F&B' (란야 F&B)로 이동했습니다.
이곳에서 태국 현지식으로 든든하게 점심을 먹었습니다. 아쉽게도 음식 사진은 찍지 못했지만, 오전 라운드의 아쉬움을 달래고 오후 라운드를 준비하기에 충분히 맛있는 식사였습니다.

오후에는 '란초 찬비 골프 코스'로 이동했습니다. 이곳은 보난자와는 분위기가 180도 다른 곳이었습니다. 유럽풍의 고급스러운 클럽하우스부터 관리가 잘 된 코스까지, 럭셔리 그 자체였죠.
란초 찬비 CC는 코스 상태가 매우 훌륭했고, 승마 클럽을 함께 운영하고 있어 라운드 중 말을 구경하는 특별한 경험도 할 수 있었습니다. 심지어 개인 경비행기 활주로까지 갖추고 있다고 하더군요.
오전의 아쉬움을 모두 잊게 할 만큼 만족스러운 라운드였습니다.
6. 저녁 식사: 크루아 난남 레스토랑 (Krua Nannam Restaurant)
하루 36홀의 대장정을 마치고, 저녁 식사를 위해 '크루아 난남 레스토랑'으로 향했습니다. 강변에 위치해 있어 분위기가 아주 좋은 곳이었는데요, 아쉽게도 이곳에서도 음식 사진을 남기지 못했습니다.

Hello! This is the second installment of my 6-day, 4-night golf trip to Khao Yai, Thailand. Day 2 (Oct 29) was truly a 'Golf Day.' It was a grueling schedule where we played a total of 36 holes at two of Khao Yai's renowned golf courses.
In the morning, we experienced the budget-friendly 'Bonanza Golf Course', and in the afternoon, the luxurious 'Rancho Charnvee CC'. Bonanza CC, in particular, was disappointing as we visited during the off-season, and I'll be sharing my honest review of it all!
2. Early Morning Start with a Boxed Meal
We had to get moving at the crack of dawn for our 36-hole day. With no time for a leisurely 6 AM hotel breakfast, we started our day with a simple fried rice box meal prepared by the hotel. (Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the meal!)
3. [AM 18 Holes] Honest Review of Bonanza Golf Course
At 7 AM, our round began via shotgun start at Bonanza Golf Course. This place is famous as a high-value course where you can enjoy unlimited golf at an affordable price.
However, to be perfectly honest, since we visited during the off-season, the overall course management was disappointing. The fairways were wide, but many areas had poor drainage. We also encountered what's known as 'tteok-jandi' (matted, thick rice-cake grass) – the grass was so dense and hard that it was difficult to get the ball airborne properly. The bunkers were also poorly maintained, which added to the disappointment.
It might be acceptable for practice with unlimited play at a low price, but if you're expecting a round in good condition, you should carefully consider when you visit.
4. Lunch at Lhanya: F&B
After finishing our morning round, we moved to a local restaurant near Bonanza CC called 'Lhanya: F&B' for lunch.
We had a hearty lunch of local Thai food here. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the food, but it was a delicious meal, enough to soothe the disappointment of the morning round and prepare us for the afternoon.
5. [PM 18 Holes] Rancho Charnvee Golf Course
In the afternoon, we headed to Rancho Charnvee Golf Course. The atmosphere here was a complete 180 from Bonanza. From the luxurious, European-style clubhouse to the perfectly manicured course, it was luxury itself.
Rancho Charnvee CC had excellent course conditions, and with its integrated equestrian club, we even had the special experience of seeing horses during our round. I heard it even boasts its own private airstrip. (Unfortunately, I couldn't get a photo of the airstrip.)
It was such a satisfying round that it made us forget all about the morning's letdown.
6. Dinner at Krua Nannam Restaurant
After completing our 36-hole epic, we headed to 'Krua Nannam Restaurant' for dinner. It was situated by a river and had a wonderful atmosphere, but unfortunately, I didn't get any food photos here either.
Enjoying authentic Thai food in the cool river breeze felt like it washed away all the day's fatigue. Maybe it was because we'd just played 36 holes, but every dish tasted absolutely divine.
7. Conclusion: A "Sweet and Salty" Day 2
Day 2 had a "sweet and salty" charm—a bit disappointing in the morning but extremely satisfying in the afternoon.
Day 3 will feature a visit to Khao Yai's famous 'PB Valley Vineyard' and another round at 'Khao Yai Country Club'. And for dinner, the Korean food we've all been waiting for! We plan to visit the 'Itaewon Class' restaurant. Please look forward to the next review!
